Traffic II 2011

Trànsit II [Traffic II] is based on the collection (recording) of the weekly sound of the street from 07.30 p.m to 8.30 p.m from a fixed spot for each place. The five streets – Sants, Mandri, Perú and Segre from Barcelona and Aragó from Palma de Mallorca- are different regarding to who transits them but they all have the same characteristics: double lane and two-way traffic. The weekly sound is translated into an image without leaving it aside. Thus we see in the projection seven lines of different colours corresponding to the sound of every day and can hear the sound accumulated throughout the week.
